Happy Birthday with Mixed Bunch

I’ve been busy this weekend making a bunch of “Happy Birthday” cards to deliver to the Ronald McDonald House (West) in Portland, Oregon.  About a week ago, the volunteer coordinator sent me an email asking if I would like to make some  cards and bring them up.  She said they needed birthday, sympathy, and thank you cards the most.  It seems the number of guests in the House increases in the summer months.  [You may wonder how she knew to contact me.  Back in February I took some cards up to the House to see if they would be interested in them.  They loved the cards and I gave them my name and email.]

These cards use the Mixed Bunch and the Four You stamp sets.  They are very simple to make and you can use any colors that make you happy!  I’ve used Coastal Cabana, Tempting Turquoise, and Rich Razzleberry.

Oh, the cards are not crooked; the photographer is out of balance.

A “Work of Art”

Standard

??????????

This is a card I made this afternoon with my good friend, Vivian.  We were playing at her house and decided to CASE this card from several she has stored on her iPad.

There are 2 stamp sets:  Work of Art, new in the 2014-2015 Annual Catalog, and the flower is from the Mixed Bunch stamp set.  There are three punches:  Blossom punch (#125603), the 7/8″ Scallop Circle punch (#129404) and the Scalloped Tag Topper punch (#133324).  We used Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake ink pads, both Crumb Cake and White card stock, and the Crumb Cake 1/2″ Seam Binding ribbon (#122332).

I hope you like it!  If you are interested in buying the products to make this card or are in need of any paper crafting supplies, please visit my Online Store HERE.

Any Occasion Card – Mixed Bunch

Standard

013 (2) 014 (2)

Flower stamp set with a punch to easily cut the flowers out.  The Mixed Bunch stamp set (wood #125535, clear #125537) has three large images as shown and three smaller images.  All images have a corresponding punch to make assembling a card just so easy!

Materials – all cards:  Tempting Turquoise cardstock (#102067), Tempting Turquoise ink pad (#126952), Whisper White cardstock (#100730), Whisper White medium envelopes (#107301), Pearl Basic Jewels (#119247), Large Pearl Basic Jewels (#125577), and the Blossom punch (#125603).

For the top left card, the Whisper White cardstock was embossed using the Sizzix Stripes embossing folder (#123128); trimmed on the bottom with the Sizzix Adorning Accents Edgelits (#125595); and then, used the Paper-Piercing Tool, the Stampin’ Pierce Mat and the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack (#126187) to make the decorative design on the bottom.

The top right card is a vertical orientation and the bottom card is a horizontal orientation.  Both cards have a scalloped edge to the Whisper White cardstock.  This was done with a retired Stampin’ Up! punch.  However, there are three different selections of Sizzix Edgelits to make lovely edges – Finishing Touches Edgelits (#127010), Adorning Accents Edgelits (#125595), and Large Scallop Edgelits (#127019).

Be sure to decorate the corner of the envelopes for that “little extra” finishing touch!
