This is a very popular card on Pinterest and there are several videos on how to make this on YouTube. I got this format and size from France Martin, another Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. Some of these “Card in a Box” cards are large but France gave measurements for this “Card in a Box” that, when folded flat, will fit into a regular sized envelope. How great is that??
I used the new Watercolor Wonder Designer Paper (#132994, $10.95), Daffodil Delight and Gumball Green card stock, a variety of the Stampin’ Write markers and the Pearl Basic Jewels (#119247, $4.95). Unfortunately (I was a bad person), I used a stamp set that has retired. However, you can use any stamp set for the greeting and for the decoration. Think about a pretty card with flowers for Mother’s Day, a nautical theme for a birthday card for a guy (The Open Sea stamp set), a fishy theme using the By the Seashore or By the Tide stamp sets, a baby shower card using the cute Zoo Babies stamp set, there are so many possibilities. Decide on your theme then look through the 2013-2013 Annual Catalog for a coordinating stamp set.
Here’s another look at the “Card in a Box” birthday card.
